@BarExamTutor It’s as if some folks are secondary faculty teaching secondary courses 😉: papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cf…

Not sure I’ll ever fully understand why specific professors within law schools (and here I’m thinking of academic support, bar exam support, and I think, but correct if I’m wrong, legal writing,) are treated as lower level (measured by metrics such as salary) compared to, say, a professor who teaches Contracts or Torts or etc.
What I mean by “I’ll never understand” is simply that I’ve never heard an explanation that satisfies my curiosity. These jobs are essential to the education of a law student.
And the last thing I think of when I think of essential positions is second-class treatment.

What a celebration honoring the amazing civil rights attorney and former @NAACP_LDF President and Director-Counsel, Ted Shaw! Ted is a wonderful @unc_law colleague, where he continues to inspire and mentor future civil rights attorneys. youtu.be/QHTVB-rJFQA

It's LEAP Day! LEAP's @unc_law's voluntary pre-orientation program that helps 1Ls transition to the academic rigors of law school in a welcoming environment. Missing @RachelGurvich, who always does a great job helping w/ LEAP. Thankful for other faculty/staff who are helping out.

@JonahPerlin I saw that! I’m like, “Yeah. Doesn’t it suck that the exam is only offered twice a year?”

@BarExamTutor And they start saying this sh*t the week before the bar exam. Because no one is stressing about the exam, right?

I’ve joked a bit about the law professor making it a point that Kamala Harris didn’t pass the bar exam (because ridiculous things are funny), but it’s also concerning that it implies something negative about the students who end up not passing at his own school. I’m just thinking, if I’m a law student, I’d want professors to keep their negative opinions about those who don’t pass the bar exam to themselves.

For those of you taking the July 2024 #barexam, here are some thoughts on what you may consider doing this last week: linkedin.com/posts/o-j-sali…

For those of you not taking the Uniform #barexam: Remember to check your state board of law examiner’s websites. Many of the state boards have free old questions/sample answers, including Georgia, Florida, Virginia, Delaware, and California.
English

Also, remember that your MBE prep also helps your essay prep! Generally, at least 2 (often 3) of the 6 essays on the #MEE test MBE law. So, all your studying and practice with the MBE questions will transfer to help you on the essays that test MBE law.
English

Remember that you're not required to get an “A” on the #barexam—you just need a pass. Don’t stress if you're not getting “A” results on your practice questions. You don’t need an “A” on the bar exam to get your law license.
