Calling it a “well-made biopic” doesn’t magically make it one. Michael is the same assembly-line music biopic formula with shinier dance numbers, no perspective, no real directorial identity, no writing worth remembering. It’s just a Wikipedia summary with a budget.
People aren’t “too cool” for it, they just expect more than watching highlight reels stitched together for 2 hours. If the only praise your movie gets is “the concert scenes were good,” that says everything 🤷

We’ve really reached a point where people hype up mid directors for recycling the same “save the CGI creature” plot for the 10th time, but act too cool for a well-made biopic that’s actually clearing. The bias on this bird app is wild.

#LeavingNeverland is a “haunting” film with zero evidence based entirely on emotional manipulation and over the top graphic details purposely done for shock value. A “documentary” that portrays child sexual abuse as some kind of romantic love affair. That a 7 year old child anticipated horrific sex acts with a 35 year old man and even initiated it himself on several occasions. I think people should do research on CSA and how it really affects children so that they can see how utterly ridiculous this film is. Yes it’s true that victims can develop feelings for their abuser, but to believe these men, you will have to take it to a whole other level. What’s scary is that there are pedophiles out there who watched this documentary and felt that their crimes were justified because children can fall in love with you and enjoy being molested. 😬
