“At first, I thought it was a language-barrier issue, so I had ChatGPT translate for me.” For @newyorkerhumor, Angie Wang illustrates her experience trying to get her mother to feed her toddler without overstuffing him. nyer.cm/SIItTSI

Big thanks to my parents, obviously, for being so involved in Ori's life and helping us out so much. Thanks to @megmccarron for using her senior editor instincts to tell me to pitch this, and to Aviva and the New Yorker team for again being the best. 🫐

There is no other way to say this: the (lack of) reaction to the scenes of sheer carnage, burned refugee bodies, and decapitated babies coming out of Rafah tonight from the U.S. political and media establishments is nothing other than the normalizing, the banalizing, of genocide.

@everywhereist I mean, it does suck that it touched a raw nerve with your brain surgery! But without a doubt the illustrator, at least, has not read the book and isn’t trying to bully you—it was an awkward take on the concept of “here is my life, expressed through food” I think.

@everywhereist As an illustrator who freelances for the book review occasionally, this illustrator’s line of thought and concept was likely, “The author is presenting her persona/autobiography as seen through food as an object of consumption—both literary and gustatory—through this book.”

The New York Times just skewered my new book. The review is filled with personal attacks and tone-policing, and includes an aside that I didn't write about my father enough. But what is truly terrifying is the graphic they used, of someone dining on what appears to be my head.

I made a long, long comic about AI and my toddler. It's a repudiation of techno-solipsism and it’s in The New Yorker. 🤖 “Is My Toddler a Stochastic Parrot?” newyorker.com/humor/sketchbo…

Glaze is a project that uses adversarial AI to poison-pill your artwork when it’s scraped (with minimal changes to your art) so that AI art generators think it’s a totally different style than it is. I find it so life-affirming because it conclusively (1/3)

Another big day. The big big Glaze 1.0 update is out. New core optimization function makes Glaze MUCH more subtle. Now works well for most flat-color styles, comics, anime, cartoons. Nearly invisible on most textured art images. Also brand new website! glaze.cs.uchicago.edu

I appreciate that it’s a weapon (of defense!) rather than a plea that people who have no incentive to listen can ignore. Thank you to @ravenben for helping us take our protection into our own hands. (3/3)
