@everywhereist I mean, it does suck that it touched a raw nerve with your brain surgery! But without a doubt the illustrator, at least, has not read the book and isn’t trying to bully you—it was an awkward take on the concept of “here is my life, expressed through food” I think.

@everywhereist As an illustrator who freelances for the book review occasionally, this illustrator’s line of thought and concept was likely, “The author is presenting her persona/autobiography as seen through food as an object of consumption—both literary and gustatory—through this book.”

The New York Times just skewered my new book. The review is filled with personal attacks and tone-policing, and includes an aside that I didn't write about my father enough. But what is truly terrifying is the graphic they used, of someone dining on what appears to be my head.

Glaze is a project that uses adversarial AI to poison-pill your artwork when it’s scraped (with minimal changes to your art) so that AI art generators think it’s a totally different style than it is. I find it so life-affirming because it conclusively (1/3)
