I really struggle to understand where this perception of Chitpavan Brahmins dominating the RSS comes from. Out of all the heads of RSS, none have belonged to the Chitpavan Brahmin community.
Though Hindutva's founding father, Savarkar was one.

ब्राह्मणो की असली पार्टी कांग्रेस ही थी। 1947 से लेकर 1989 तक के कांग्रेस राज को अगर ब्राह्मण राज कहा जाये तो अतिश्योक्ति नहीं होगी। प्रधानमंत्री से लेकर राज्यों के मुख्यमंत्री तक , विधायकों से लेकर सांसदों तक, केंद्रीय मंत्रियो से लेकर राज्यपालों तक अधिकांशतः ब्राह्मण ही थे। कांग्रेस का समय गया फिर आयी बीजेपी। बीजेपी को भी लोग अक्सर ब्राह्मणो की पार्टी कहते हैं लेकिन ना तो आज ऐसा है और नाही कभी भी ऐसा था कि बीजेपी ब्राह्मण पार्टी थी। वाबजूद इसके कि बीजेपी के पीछे चितपावन ब्राह्मणो का संगठन आरएसएस है। वाबजूद इसके कि बीजेपी के संस्थापक सदस्यों में भी दो ब्राह्मण थे, वाजपेयी और मुरली मनोहर जोशी। असल में संघ चितपावन ब्राह्मणो का संगठन है और चितपावनों से इतर आरएसएस किसी ब्राह्मण को अपने बराबर मानता ही नहीं । उनका उद्देश्य देश में ब्राह्मणवाद नहीं अपितु मराठा पेशवाई स्थापित करना है। चितपावन ब्राह्मण अपने को अन्य सभी ब्राह्मणो से श्रेष्ठ मानते हैं क्यूंकी उन्हें लगता है उन्होंने देश पर राज किया और युद्ध किये, वो याचक नहीं थे। सावरकर से लेकर मोहन भगवत तक, इन लोगो के ब्राह्मण और हिन्दू संस्कृति विरोधी ब्यान आपको सुनने को मिल जायेंगे। अब बात करते हैं बीजेपी की। बीजेपी के संस्थापक सदस्यों में भी दो ब्राह्मण थे, लेकिन इसके बाद भी बीजेपी कभी ब्राह्मण पार्टी नहीं थी। अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी ने जो केंद्र में 6 साल सरकार चलाई वो भी कांग्रेस की तरह की ब्राह्मणवादी सरकार नहीं थी बल्कि सही मायनो में वो एक सवर्णवादी सरकार थी। वाजपेयी की सरकार मे ब्राह्मणो के आलावा क्षत्रिय जसवंत सिंह, राजनाथ सिंह, राजीव प्रताप रूढ़ि थे, सिंधी आडवाणी थे, कायस्थ यशवंत सिन्हा रवि शंकर प्रसाद थे, भूमिहार सीपी ठाकुर थे। और इन सबकी सरकार में तूती बोलती थी, चलती थी। वाजपेयी अपने मंत्रिमंडल की सुनते थे उन्हें स्वतंत्रता देते थे, उनसे मंत्रणा करते थे। मंत्रालयों की कमान मंत्री स्वयं ही सँभालते थे। आज की मोदी सरकार की तरह मंत्री रबर स्टेम्प नहीं थे । सच कहूँ तो अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी की सरकार आजतक देश की एकमात्र लोकतान्त्रिक सरकार रही है। अगर आज की बीजेपी की बात करें तो वो बनियावादी पार्टी है ब्राह्मणवादी नहीं। कुछ लोग कहेंगे बीजेपी में इस समय सबसे ज्यादा केंद्रीय मंत्री, मुख्यमंत्री उपमुख्यमंत्री, सांसद, पदाधिकारी ब्राह्मण ही हैं फिर क्यों नहीं बीजेपी ब्राह्मणवादी पार्टी है ? बिल्कुल हैं, लेकिन प्रश्न ये है कि उनकी चलती कितनी है ? ब्राह्मण को प्रतिनिधित्व नहीं वर्चस्व चाहिये जो बीजेपी में ब्राह्मण को कभी नहीं मिला।

I am not sure what kind of ‘society‘ she is talking about, but a lot of Brahmin-Baniya ppl try to take over residential societies.
Ex- in my friends apartment, some Brahmin families wanted to build a small temple inside the premises… not cos there were no temples nearby, but cos they wanted it inside the society itself.
They knew Christians n Muslims lived there too.. But because they were influential in the management committee n bcos they had the confidence to push these things.. the Muslims and Christians stayed quiet because they did not want trouble. It was actually some Hindus who strongly opposed it.
Bloody.. keep your God inside your home or go to a temple. What is this obsession with converting every shared public space into a religious space?
