If your Yoruba Grandfather had more than one (plenty) wives, or gave birth to more than 6 children. May God bless him and the wives. They are the reason the Yorubas are not a minority today! And God Bless Yoruba Muslims and Yoruba Isese too. Yoruba Christians, your thank you is on hold for now.

After months of practically no electricity supply by @aedcelectricity, our compound paid some fee to AEDC, as we are still on estimated billing @NERCNG ! From Friday, May 1st, the supply seems to have improved, and by Saturday 2nd of May, the AEDC technicians came to cut us off! They claimed the person that went to pay did not pay to the correct people! I found that to be very strange, "correct people?". I suspect there is a fraud being perpetrated by some AEDC official in Lafia, Nasarawa State.

@therofiatabduls Normally, the Usman will become "Usumanu", with time the first "u" got removed, in the usual Yorùbá way of shorting names, and we have "Sumanu", which if pronounced properly will be "Sùnmọ́nù" 🤷

"It is far better to bribe a person than to kill him — and far better to be bribed than killed." The above quote is attributed to Winston Churchill, was he justifying bribery, if it is an option between taking and dying?

Professor Monsur Akangbe Kenku (1942 - 2021) Born on December 14, 1942 in Lagos, Nigeria. Passed away on June 24, 2021 in Lagos, Nigeria. Professor M.A. Kenku was an enigma, a gentle giant and a very passionate lecturer. It's only a few with brave heart that could venture into the rem of Number Theory. But Prof. effortlessly thought it to his class. Mobius function of order K along with Fermat last theory were some of the fascinating topics he thought.

@shelovesore Jesus Christ! I get offended when people write Yorùbá like the colonialists: they write olóde as horloday! There is nothing like "gor", it is "gọ̀" please, please, and please 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Can a poor Nigerian wake up and be genuinely jubilant, due to government action? I listened to @channelstv Geoffrey Uzono, this morning and I could clearly see and hear disappointment in his voice, I even pitied him and wondered how he managed to remain sane, thinking about Nigeria!

May God help Nigerians 😭😭😭😭 In Nigeria, everything kills you: your own security architecture, police, army, navy, even the so-called civil defence Corp, and the road safety were even asking to be given AK45

There is something about Nigeria 🇳🇬 that someone needs to research: its ability to elicit speech in non verbal autistic children. A friend just told me about her 5 year old daughter, who had never uttered a word while they were in Canada. However, after just few months in Nigeria

@seyfunmi On a lighter's note: Naija isnt for the faint-hearted; even at infancy, kids do 'feel' its difference. Who wouldn't talk with way Naija is? The kid probably witnessed something that made her talk.
