@Vitt2TsNoC Keep exploring. Ignore the arrogance of dominant greed. Look out for those who graft with humility 2 recreate a caring society. Find the many good people that are not fooled by the parasitic self serving pompous arses that have grasped power & wealth. There is beauty in this land

I wonder whether @g__j knows about the opportunity that @oxdelivers might represent [with a little support from the right people] The story is all over LinkedIn but this might also be a place to do some good [for a change]

What is happening? There is joy in looking at the majority of content on X. In recent past it has got more unpleasant; even vulgar. The opinions expressed by many are simply meant to stir hatred, discontent or misunderstanding. X is a time parasite that adds no value for me!

Kemi Badenoch said Iran is more of an immediate threat for the UK than Trump’s declared intention to acquire Greenland by force! She said that Venezuela had been acting with Iran against US and that was part of Trump’s justification for recent action. @KemiBadenoch IS CONFUSED.
BBC Politics@BBCPolitics

"Greenland... is a second order issue" Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch says there are more important issues in global politics than Donald Trump's attempts to acquire Greenland, such as the protests in Iran #BBCLauraK bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00…

This is absolutely right from @DaleVince The trouble is that too many industrial buildings are not built with capacity for roof top #PV. Many have skylights that are not safe to walk on & some don’t even have reasonable roof access & maintenance infrastructure. Build better!

We built the first onsite green energy project in y2k, makes perfect sense to make energy where you use it and vice versa...:) reuters.com/sustainability…

@brickmatch1 @mgshanks @JamesAsser I think Net Zero is a myth. An over simplification for the accountants. In reality we will reduce the GHG intensity (especially CO2) but perfection will remain a goal for my lifetime.

The public back action to tackle climate change - much more than we think. But a lot of misinformation and vested interests loudly shouts down the majority. But tackling climate change is also the economic opportunity of the century and how we maintain energy security.

@oldbasingtweets @mgshanks @JamesAsser I think they have gone too big too quick and they will screw the country as a consequence financially and energy security wise We will see, what done is done for now

@brickmatch1 @mgshanks @JamesAsser As soon as the political priorities align. It is a technical reality & the legal framework has been illustrated. It just needs an adjustment in supply regulations.

@NelsAlmhere @LukeMLabour @mgshanks Thank you for your response. Your opinions are well represented. So are those who benefit from low cost energy solutions that I have been designing & building for many years. We need many more curious & courageous Engineers that do the sums & fewer ranting obsessions.

@oldbasingtweets @LukeMLabour @mgshanks Damaging the economy, empoverishing the nation and making the UK uncompetitive is not a fresh perspective. China is building Tw/h worth of coal and gas power, yet ideologically captured individuals are intent on destroying the UK, like Luke and you.

Energy networks made £4 billion in profits under the price controls set under the Conservatives... and households paid the price Today I ask @mgshanks how the new system will clamp down on profiteering and help bring bills down

@NelsAlmhere @LukeMLabour @mgshanks Some will continue to make entertaining speeches. Others work on solutions. The short term mind set will always prioritise the quickest financial return. A fresh perspective is required. By the time the Oil & Gas investors catch up the Chinese will have mastered the solution.

@oldbasingtweets @LukeMLabour @mgshanks Intermittent renewables are proving massively expensive. Nuclear is only expensive due to the UK over regulated nature of the generation. Wind is worst of all, intermittent, expensive and not clean, yet Luke and Milliband and co. Sunk billions into it. x.com/i/status/20089…
Marc Nixon@MarcNixon24

The U.S. Energy Secretary just obliterated Net Zero ideology in 60 seconds. Oil, gas, and coal power EVERYTHING including green energy. This is what adults sound like. Liberals are not ready for this conversation.

@IainAStewart2 @mgshanks @JamesAsser Given that he is Minister of State for Energy it seems that he has that portfolio. No doubt that supporting his constituents should come first but I think he has sufficient support & capacity to perform both roles.

@NelsAlmhere @LukeMLabour @mgshanks 🤭 If only nuclear was a cheap / low cost option! The reality is that we need to use low cost energy sources. Using wind & solar just means that we will need to incentivise dispatchable loads. We will still need nuclear, energy storage & fossil fuels but less of it all.

@oldbasingtweets @LukeMLabour @mgshanks Or... Build sufficient reliable, clean and cheap nuclear stations, rather relying on intermittent and outrageously expenaive wind or useless solar. (pointless in winter for the UK)

@tagware @g__j The business rates problem is easily solved by HM Govt legislation; it is a political choice. The DNO problem is generally less of an issue on new builds. Plus, I simply stated that the roofs should be ready for PV; retrofitting structural capacity & safe skylights is problem.

@oldbasingtweets @g__j The trouble is that they will increase the Business rates instantly. 🤔 The DNO normally has restrictions on local supply.😔

The astonishing determination of the fossil lobby is in the comments. Sure, solar doesn’t work when it’s dark (although storage is getting cheap) but when it’s light, surely anyone rational would rather get clean cheap power from solar than pay for shiploads of coal. And….
Kevin Holland@TheSolarShed

Never forget the reasons why the fossil lobby are digging in and getting dirty. They fear what we deliver. And so they should, we're only just getting started. solar-power.co.uk

@g__j Meanwhile; Perhaps the Bankers prefer tankers; The Brokers will continue to joke about creating wealth; The Underwriters are motivated to resist change. While the big funds block progress we [the masses] will be force fed oil & gas. Community Energy Sharing Networks are needed
