now that i've been through a few political pendulum swings i understand my root frustration every part of life seems to involve people seeing if you check superficial boxes indicating you're on their team. it shows up everywhere - how friend groups work, even how business gets done no matter the side it always turns pretty silly - thinking people are cool vs not cool because they say certain words. and the pressure is strong enough that people inevitably hop on whatever trend is currently winning and if you don't want to participate you are constantly in situations where you are expected to listen to people drone on about their side but could not handle yours at all it's all pretty tedious, pointless and impossible to flush out from your brain
