***BREAKING: Labour’s soft-left condemns Wes Streeting’s bid for No10 and vows to oust him from Downing Street if he becomes PM*** A senior soft-left source blasts Team Streeting for their public statements calling for a “swift” and “rapid” contest before Andy Burnham can get in. The source says: “If Wes thinks he can pull off some kind of stitch up to avoid a fair process that he will have no legitimacy even if he briefly ends up in office. There would be no support for the government in the Commons and we would challenge him at the first opportunity. He’d be lucky to outlast a lettuce.” It means the Labour Party is in civil war tonight Streeting appears to be trying to force a contest before Burnham is eligible It is causing meltdown among soft-left and left MPs Senior figures on the left of the party are threatening to oust Streeting from No10 if he succeeds in his bid to be PM

@janedavisauthor @JackBMontgomery @BibleBaggins46 That was the most entertaining attempt to dig yourself out of a hole I have ever seen. Considering Liverpool was awash with Catholic missions who did indeed feed the hungry then I think your partners family weren’t looking very hard, either that or you’re lying Jane…

@janedavisauthor @JackBMontgomery Yes almost as if the poor Irish took great pride in funding monuments to their faith, and have done throughout this country only for snobs to sniffle at them.

@JackBMontgomery Designed to be tower over the Anglican cathedral and money collected from the poor to fund it. It would have been obscene. But I do think it's amazing that you can visit the crypt.

@HMRCcustomers So she can access her tax records… And so we can transfer her personal allowance to me. I’m sorry but is your question ‘is there a reason she needs yo access the online portal where all tax issues are now dealt with’.

@HMRCcustomers seen as this is apparently the only way to contact you. How on earth do you get access to HMRC gov gateway for the first time when you’ve been married and as such your national insurance number details do not match your new ID.

@HMRCcustomers No I have said that here - when someone changes their name on such documents they request them back as is usual practice.
Oliver@oliverOB04

@HMRCcustomers Without registering first, which she ca only do with her old Identification - it would be much easier for her to explain on the phone. Funny that, almost as if having your only means of contact on a platform with restricted word count is a bad idea.

@oliverOB04 Does your wife's passport or drivers license have her old name on it? If so, she can create her account using her old name and then make the change once she has created her account. Najmin

@HMRCcustomers It’s for my wife and she is without X, she has had a name change and as is usual in such circumstances her name has changed - which means she has no identification (passport, driving license ect) with her old name. She can’t change anything because she can’t access gateway.

@LordPatrick0 @cuntasaurus22 @BBCNewsNI May be shocking to some, but you can support Irish nationalism without believing in blowing up kids. You’ll probably find most Irish in that position.

@jcmarlowe1 @steamedhamms 7,500 compared to the ‘accurate’ 200,000. And considering the 32,000 jobs created last year alone, I’d say you’re picking out statistics to suit your argument.

@jcmarlowe1 @steamedhamms Does not stand up to the facts. Higher tax revenue. More people working in Finance than before. Banks lobbying to stop Europe from cutting off their access.

@Stephen70Do @jcmarlowe1 @steamedhamms Not really fluff tho is it mate. Financial powerhouses, like London, attract more investment. More investment means greater tax revenue. It’s not fluff, it’s logic. Don’t just take it from me, look at the Global financial centres index.

@JrpoOliver @jcmarlowe1 @steamedhamms Its okay Oliver. I know you're desperate to be the next Michael Gove but you're not on Newsnight yet. Throwing around useless fluff like "world power" doesnt actually mean anything.

@Stephen70Do @jcmarlowe1 @steamedhamms Well let’s put it this way, in 2018 the sectors tax contribution was 72.1 billion. Bearing in mind the reason the banks needed to be bailed out was to save working people from being completely shafted, so when you add that to the equation you realise that much of that money…

@JrpoOliver @jcmarlowe1 @steamedhamms Hi Oliver. I wondered if the "City" has repaid the £850 Billion in full yet or, if not, how much remains outstanding? You seem really clued up on all this so Im sure you'll have the genuine figures to hand. Thanking you in advance, Concerned taxpayer. 👍
