#TRIBUTE | This is 72-year-old David Nugent. David, from Bromborough, sadly died last night following a serious collision in Wirral on Monday 2 March. At around 11.35pm, we received a report of a collision involving a silver Vauxhall Mokka and a male pedestrian on the A41 New Chester Road, near to the junction with Eastham Village Road in Eastham. The pedestrian, who was David, was taken to hospital where he remained in a critical condition and sadly, he died from his injuries last night. Today David's family, who are being supported by a specially trained Family Liaison Officer, have issued a tribute. They said 🗣️ “Dave was a fun-loving, all-round entertainer who brought laughter wherever he went. A devoted dad, proud grandad, and much-loved brother. A lifelong Everton fan whose passion never faded. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered”. 💙 A 85-year-old man from Frodsham was arrested at the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation. Road death causes devastation for all those involved and it is our absolute priority to get answers for his family. They can often record vital evidence that you may be totally unaware of. This could be crucial to our investigation.
