I have been asked to make this public in order to serve as an encouragement to some. This was given at our cross over service December 31st. I did not remember until my attention was called to it.

Number one tip in moments of crisis: do not panic. Learn from the duck: stay calm on the surface, but paddle under water. Your calmness as a leader is critical. Don’t splash.

The greatest mark of a leader is not strength, but kindness. You must feel. You must put yourself everyday in the shoes of those you lead. A kind heart will always lead you to do the right things.

This is a new Africa, a resurgent Africa, a more confident Africa, the old is gone, the new is here!
