I get why they do it but limiting voting to where you registered for your pvc still feels like disenfranchisement.

Your votes don’t count so how did Peter Obi win Lagos in the last election? The more people show up, the more difficult it is to rig. And even if, even though, last last. What is the benefit of sitting down at home? What is the justification? When there is fire on the mountain

So she’s considered old enough at 24 to make a life-altering, permanent decision to have a child; even though her brain supposedly isn’t fully developed. But somehow, that same person isn’t trusted to make the equally permanent decision to not have children? How does that make sense? Why is becoming a mother at 24 more acceptable than deciding you don’t want that life at all? The logic just isn’t consistent.
jameela@jameela_na

Your body your choice but at 24 years your brain is not yet fully developed. Practically you don't know what you actually want. Cutting tubes at 24 is a very rushed decision. Besides chasing clout.

a 24 years old woman is “too young” to have her tubes tied, but a 24 years old woman is old enough to have kids.

In 1991, Nigeria’s student loan system was already in trouble, buried under ₦38.5 million in unpaid debts. According to Newswatch, the Nigerian Students Loans Board (NSLB) had been trying to recover loans dating back to 1972, but after nearly two decades, only ₦3.5 million had been recovered. Many of those who took the loans simply didn’t pay back, and the system had little power to enforce repayment. To fix this, a new board introduced stricter rules: applicants now needed guarantors, proper documentation, and loans would be paid directly to beneficiaries instead of through third parties. But even that didn’t solve the deeper problem. Some of the biggest surprises came from the defaulters list. It included prominent Nigerians, from politicians to senior professionals, and even people who claimed they were listed without their knowledge. Others flat-out refused to pay, arguing the board had no proper records to hold them accountable. A 1988 decree required employers to ensure graduates had cleared their loan status before hiring them, but many employers didn’t even know such a rule existed. So, enforcement collapsed. Meanwhile, the board tried different tactics: hiring law firms (with little success), threatening to publish names (rarely followed through), and even proposing that unpaid loans be converted into scholarships, which it rejected.

Idk one woman who would be pressed if a random man said he’s getting a vasectomy. Because it’s his decision and we respect that it’s his body. But you people think women are your property and should live for the wishes of a future husband who is not guaranteed.

This is actually close to incorrect . All milk brands in Nigeria have 3 variants all written on them vividly . Full cream (100 percent milk fat present) Filled milk (milk fat removed and replaced with vegetable oil) Skimmed milk (all milk fat removed). On the label it’s written peak full cream, dano full cream . For dano it’s called dano slim for their skimmed milk . For their filled it’s called dano filled milk. So please Nigerians have access to proper milk, as this post makes it look like all the milk we have is only filled milk. For health purpose full cream is best, if you have high cholesterol skimmed milk , try as much not to take filled milk. The problem is some Nigerians do not know how to read labels nor know what they mean. Do we keep calling out the Govt for allowing nonsense in the name of filled milk ? Yes ! But we also need to balance the truth, if not we send people into frenzy , thinking the only milk they have on their shelves are filled milk when it’s not . Please learn to read your labels.

Most Nigerians think they are drinking milk. They are drinking Fat-Filled Milk Powder (FFMP). In the EU, FFMP can’t be sold as milk, it must be labelled as a milk ingredient, not a dairy product. Here, it’s “milk”. Nigerians are eating what others aren’t allowed to call food.

From rice distribution to youth spaces, Seyi Tinubu’s engagement follows a clear pattern: hardship is converted into influence.

Okay, but the rail line is not realistically built to be useful to anyone who is not a tourist. Imagine you need to get to Abeokuta right now for business, there's no train till 3pm. And the station is not even inside town in Abeokuta so, it's godknowshowmuch to get bike into town. If you live and have business to do in Ibadan, Abeokuta and Lagos, you are not likely to use the train. The amount of trains and times on schedule has not even increased in years. It's only 8 am in the morning and 3 pm in the evening. How can ridership increase when nothing is done to encourage it?
Adetola Adedeji⭐ ⭐@Adetolaa_a

There is a rail line from Lagos to Ogun state. Have you guys seen the ridership numbers? All this obsession with rail and airports is always funny and people believe it's some silver bullet. There are cities in EU without intra rail service but just basic bus service.
