My personal Zakat story for LaunchGood: TLDR: Made a website business.zakat.com to make it easier for you than it was for us! 😀 1. At first we had no money, so easy - no Zakat! 😅 2. As we started having savings, we wondered "Do we owe Zakat on that? LaunchGood isn't a person - but we owners are" - surprised how few resources were available on this topic, figured it out through convos with scholars and accountants 3. Need both (scholars and accountants) because, especially if you're a C Corp, you could end up paying taxes on your donation ps - one friend who recently used the free consulting service with Shaykh Omar Baig learned he owed $1,500 more in Zakat than he thought. Was able to use that to help a struggling employee - felt like a real win-win for him alhamdulillah
