its most likely a fail switch for the user. if they forget to use your service/or just not interested anymore. they dont have to unsubscribe and apple cant charge them
if this is the case then its very smart of them

Dial has its first customer less than a week after going live!! So excited to see where this can go. I'm learning a lot more with each app that goes live. Time to double down on marketing.

Our app is making $100 - 200 a day now.
- This is from pure organic marketing on instagram and tiktok using sora 2 videos. Posting 1 video a day
- every tier has a 3 day free trial
- we have one of the best conversion rates out of all education apps
Next steps:

this is how you promote your app if you’re broke.
use this format: hook + demo.
> record reaction videos (crying, shocked, etc)
> face swap into a blonde girl with ai
> add your app demo at the end
almost $0 spent (cheaper than UGC or ads).
you don’t need anything else.

The most common question I get: what’s your traffic source? To grow, you only need to become an expert in one channel. I don’t do TikTok or Reels. For me, that channel is Google Ads. About Google Ads: it’s not an easy system for iOS. There’s a lot of manual work and constant bid adjustments. Google Ads can burn money very easily. For about 8 months, I was basically just spending money and learning. I use UAC campaigns optimized for in-app events (no web-to-web). In Google Ads, you can’t control where ads are shown – Google decides. You just have to accept that. Every month, I increase my ad budget. Apple pays more → I can spend more on ads. I reinvest up to 40% of proceeds back into advertising.

Lesson learned: don’t submit your app during holidays.
But not a loss. While waiting, I:
– Updated the paywall
– Added a first-time close discount
– Improved conversion rate (i hope) 📈

Sometimes delays are just free optimization time.

Waiting on Apple review (feels slow… pretty sure the review team is on Christmas break 😅). Used the time to vibe-code the onboarding again: more animations, more mascot moments → better brand recognition. Onboarding is now 14 steps before the paywall. @jackfriks this is absolutely true! i’m saying for some apps you won’t see a quick progress in 90 day. Set a 5-6 months expectation to get you prepared mentally and emotionally

I'm losing my mind. Can someone help with this? My last 2 TikTok posts got 0 views. I think I'm shadow-banned, but I have no reason why/how it happened. The weird part is that it happened to both my accounts, which are on different phones, at the same time. I'm using Nord VPN with a dedicated IP, which is turned on 24/7, my wifi is turned off the whole time, and I use my data. Accounts are warmed up for a week, just using the accounts like normal, no spam likes or comments or anything like that. Then I started posting once a day. Posts were climbing steadily in views, and then 0 views out of nowhere.
