It was my pleasure to host the Consul General of the Royal Danish Embassy in Nigeria, Jette Bjerrum, and a delegation of Danish government and business representatives today at Government House, Enugu. Denmark sees the potential in our Smart Schools, agricultural value chains, waste-to-energy initiatives, logistics, international airport expansion, and healthcare projects. Their enthusiasm for our vision aligns with our commitment to de-risking investments, creating a business-friendly environment, and growing our economy sevenfold to $30 billion in the next six years. We have already taken a bold step by partnering with the Danish company ODK Group to procure tractors, with plans for a local assembly plant here in Enugu. But this is just the beginning. With over 300,000 hectares secured in our landbank and the rollout of our Farm Estate initiative across all 260 electoral wards, agriculture remains the lifeblood of our economy, contributing 40% to our GDP. Beyond crop production, we have secured about $20 million for investment in livestock. We are also developing a modern ranch capable of housing over 20,000 cows. Our Special Agro-Processing Zones will further ensure that manufacturers can operate seamlessly with access to essential infrastructure. We take pride in Denmark’s recognition of Enugu as a rapidly developing land of opportunity. We welcome more investors who share our commitment to accountability, inclusivity, and innovation. Tomorrow is Here!

It was a delight to be part of the 34th and 35th Convocation Ceremony of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA)- A momentous occasion celebrating the academic achievements of our future leaders, yesterday. While delivering my goodwill message, I commended the Vice Chancellor of the Institution, Prof. Adenike T. Oladiji, Chairman and Members of the Governing Council, and indeed the entire Management and Staff of the Federal University of Technology, Akure for their doggedness in the task of promoting educational development and for their tireless efforts in shaping the minds of our future generations. It is imperative to thank the University Community in the State for being part of our success story in the recent Gubernatorial Election held in Ondo State on 16th of November, 2024; I must acknowledge your incredible roles as part of the electorate that turned out en masse to give me a fresh mandate in a peaceful, free, fair, credible ad conclusive election conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), which I won in all the 18 Local Government Areas of the State. I congratulate the management, students, graduands and awardees of this great citadel of intellectualism on this defining moment. I also congratulate specially, A Revered Man of God, Prof. Daniel Olukoya, General Overseer, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), who was awarded Honorary Doctorate Degree in Management Science during the convocation ceremony. In the years ahead, our administration shall continue to look forward to the University Community for all-round collaboration in the onerous task of building a more virile and prosperous Ondo State.

Our administration is a product and beneficiary of the Rule of Law. We would leave no stone unturned to protect the sanctity of the judiciary. It was an honour to swear in Six Judges of the State High Court of Ondo State, today. I congratulate our New Judges and I urge them to dispense Justice with diligence, sobriety, courage and the fear of God.
