@iam_jlc@ATRightMovies That first series of It Takes Two in Ariel Way studios. Now that was weeks of laughter. Happy days and a wobbly camera as a result!
@NorfolkGazza66@ArabDas31313@JordanEVGuy Guess it depends what you do. If you are working during the day, and run appliances overnight, it's evening use for cooking/heating. If you have electric heating, hot water done at 7p overnight, heat the house before you wake at 7p. Soon cancels out the increases.
@oneboxtele@ArabDas31313@JordanEVGuy Yes I'm aware you can get 7p Kwh on some tariffs, but what happens to you day tariff rate, when most household electricity is used. 22pkwh is pretty standard on non ev tariffs, 30pkwh on EV tariffs, that's 35% more expensive for daytime rates.
Paying £300 a month for a bog standard car, and then £300 a month on fuel, is the definition of stupid.
There is nothing anyone can say that makes it sensible.
.
@oneboxtele@ArabDas31313@JordanEVGuy Not really comparing like for like the, plus you'd need a 8 hour charge and standard tariffs don't have off peak rates.
@richtrades100@ArabDas31313@JordanEVGuy Only if you do over around 15000 miles a year as a 13a socket and 6 hours off peak with cover that requirement. Buying a charger is far from essential.
@NorfolkGazza66@ArabDas31313@JordanEVGuy Don't buy new, insurance is the same, don't buy a charger (15000 miles a year off peak with a 13a socket). That solves a few of your concerns.
@ArabDas31313@JordanEVGuy Add in the additional cost for a EV, additional insurance cost vs ICE equivalent, cost of charger installation, additional cost of daytime electric (if on EV tariff, most non Ev tariffs only charge 22pkwh, many EV tariffs charging around 30pkwh!) 1/2
I've seen every episode of every series but that final news is the saddest ever. Steph was so lovely with the little boy. Life can be so cruel. #ambulance
Today is the day! We are so thrilled with the support you’ve all shown so far and we hope you enjoy the first episode 5PM tonight on @Channel4 ☀️#JasmineHarmansRenovationintheSun 💕
@Looka_26@JordanEVGuy 9 mins, 100+ miles. Just a pee and left. No coffee, no meal. Leaving home with a 300+ mile range means London to Glasgow with one pee. Luckily my body needs more.
@JordanEVGuy You're absolutely right, but even those who love electric cars should stop saying that a coffee break, a meal and a trip to the toilet are enough to recharge the car. Not everyone likes to stop for a quick meal every two hours, and you risk putting on weight (just kidding).
Stop saying you can fill up in 2 minutes.
You just look stupid.
Almost all EV drivers have been or are still petrol and diesel drivers as well.
We know how long it takes to fill up, how expensive it is, that you have to go and get it, and be grateful.
.
@thelaserjockey@JordanEVGuy It's not ideal but most services have rapids and they never seem that busy. It's the town centres where there are 2 in a petrol station where the problems start.
@oneboxtele@JordanEVGuy That's VW's figures. All EV manufacturers exaggerate their battery range/charge times. This is NOT the reality my daughter faces with her ID4. Fast public DC chargers are a lottery, expensive and almost always a queue. I'll stick with my ICE until range gets much better.
