@Ashleyhays2089 Please correct me if I'm am wrong, but I always thought daily prayer to God including confession of known & unknown sins, asking forgiveness and help to repent (change & turn away from sin) was one of the best options. Also, read the bible as much as possible.

What is repentance and is it needed daily after salvation? Hitting a few topics here, but in this late hour it is needed. I pray this video sets some of you free from false gospels that lead to death.

It means you had to be in the faith to fall away from it. Saul is a king in the bible that once walked with God and fell away

You’re not being clear. Salvation is from God through Christ, and is forever. But, that does not mean we can’t fail Christ. We, ourselves, have to maintain the salvation offered to us by repenting. We can lose our salvation because of our sins, if we don’t repent. God‘s salvation is still available. So, Jesus Christ doesn’t fail to offer us salvation. We fail him. we can jeopardize the salvation offered to us. We have to do our part.

Justification vs. Post-conversion Sanctification. BIG DIFFERENCE. Repentance is needed after salvation to restore “fellowship” w Christ (closeness and intimacy) that gets broken when we sin. While Christians will never be sinless; the process of sanctification (becoming more and more like Christ after conversion) involves repentance, that over time (by the power of the Holy Spirit) will cause us to SIN-LESS. Said another way, the Christian who is sinning less and less as time goes on (i.e. is maturing) is living out the process of sanctification which involves a lifestyle of repentance. Blessings, James

There is but one God. Paul is preaching the integrity of the ministry, preaching that we do not use deception nor distort the Word of God, claiming the deceiver will blind the minds (pervert meanings) of those who refuse faith. The “God of this world” is the beginning of that deception, such is why Jesus refutes him with this phrase. “Away from me Satan! For it is written Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.” And Paul continues past this in Corinthians 4 by saying “For God who said, let light shine out of darkness, made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of Gods glory displayed in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us (or the deceptions).” The passages use allegorical symbolism. You must understand that symbolism to understanding the words aren’t just literal, they allude to meanings.

Catholicism is a false religion. When we love someone, we speak the truth to them, and the truth is, is that the doctrines and foundations contradict scripture. My son married a Catholic and so he’s considering taking catechism classes because they won’t let him take communion until he passes their indoctrination exam. He was baptized in a protestant church about a year or so before he got married. His wife and her family are pretty devout Catholics. I don’t think it’s a salvation issue, but their doctrine is definitely screwed up.
