Canada just lost 109,000 jobs in 2 months. In US terms that’s almost 1 million jobs. Meanwhile food inflation just hit 7.3% — the highest in the G7. And 60% of Canadians are borrowing to buy groceries. Carney is sacrificing regular Canadians to score points on Donald Trump.

I tend to agree there. The current system doesn't stress test these products enough to fully understand their effects and behavior. All they want to do is make a product they can sell, ideally something they can get on the child schedule so they have guaranteed customers. We need to do better.

I’m less confident we’d get that though. Most likely they would stop selling them, because statistically they are guaranteed to have injury suits occurring that would make their insurance premium impossibly high.
