Last night I tweeted about my difficulty with Miles Davis' oeuvre. Many believed it was because anything beyond James Taylor was a stretch for me. I now realise it's the trumpet. I do not like the sound of a trumpet. Sax yes. Sonny Rollins, Tubby Hayes yes. Trumpet. Too screechy.
