But it's an injustice that folks are confronted by racist symbolism while enjoying a state park with our kids

@andrw_zonneveld @realAlexbosco @Cpl_Dont_Know Thank you sir! My brother, a career military officer and veteran of so many wars took me there before he went to Iraq after 9-11. I was so disgusted by it. He told me he was too but that it was a good place to walk and talk before leaving for war.

The name of this monument is not the 'Reconciliation Monument.' It's literally called the Confederate Memorial, and it pays homage only to the confederacy and has actual depictions of enslaved people on it. No, history is not being rewritten. They still lost the Civil War.
