Hey keep this anonymous please. A follow up from your post from the manager working in a childrens residential for separated children seeking international protection. I was a social care worker in one last year. I joined one last year when I came out of college with a company in South Dublin. I can verify everything she said is true. But it’s worse than that. When we try to highlight there age, we get in trouble for it. We some who easily looked like they were in there 30’s. Even when we bring them to the dentist, the dentist will verify they are way over 18, but Tusla will not listen to this or take into consideration. It’s not just about the money the receive, the main reason is family reunification. Especially Somalis, once they receive there refugee status, they are entitled to family reunification. Which means, they can bring over there “parents” and “siblings”. So one Somali can bring in 10+ people for free. It’s a huge scandal. Also with the age, they are in Irish schools. These 30+ year olds posing as kids are all over Irish schools, the general public know nothing. Somalis are also the rudest, entitled group of people I have ever met. They are welfare migrants, the second they get here they know every single thing they are entitled to somehow, it’s a massive scam. I left after 2 months it was disgusting.

We give them 45 euro per week flat. Then they get all their clothes, food, travel gym etc paid for by us. We keep kids from 16 until they turn 18. Most of them look 25+ and its barely questioned. I recently found out that when they turn 18 get given €2200 per month plus a once off payment of €1500 to secure private rental accommodation. Please don't disclose my name. Both the tusla social workers that are over these 'children' and I were absolutely disgusted when we found out the money they get. They get more that some of my staff Worse than the money they get. These people have absolutely no intention of integrating in irish culture. They only hang around with other somali people. They all congregate around the mosque on the north circular road. They mock Christian holidays and demand we celebrate Muslim holidays. I am not racist but my job has definitely made me more racist. Statistics say Somali are the lowest IQ people on the planet. Why do we keep importing these people who have nothing in common with our culture and have no intention of doing so? At least the Nigerians will mingle with irish people and actually express that they're proud to be irish.
