Delighted to see this work, led by Matt Danyluik, out in @ImagingNeurosci Excellent technical piece on the caveats of methods for performing inference using PLS. A great piece of work for those using the technique and those who are interested in its robustness and reliability

TLDR: When age-matching pre- and post-menopausal women in UK Biobank, we don't find an effect of elevated WMHs after menopause! Hopefully this brings nuance to the field and motivates the acquisition of data purposefully designed to investigate women's health in aging
