Shipped v0.1.19 of @opencrust today: recurring tasks, cron, timezone, cross-channel delivery, retry with backoff. Took 4 review rounds. AI wrote a portion of the code but kept declaring "done" while missing unbounded table growth, silent failures, and race conditions. Lesson: AI writes code fast but doesn't think about what it didn't write. You still need to ask the negative questions yourself: e.g. what grows without bounds? What fails silently? What only applies to one code path? For me this was a reminder that AI is a multiplier, not a replacement for engineering discipline. github.com/opencrust-org/…

Busy weekend: shipped @opencrust v0.1.15 today: - Smart setup wizard that validates API keys as you type and tests channel connections on the spot. Other bots (ahem claw) make you fill 13 sections before telling you your key is wrong. - Rolling conversation summarization, no more "conversation too long" errors. - Telegram photos, voice, and documents, most self-hosted assistants are text-only. Still lots to do. Let's go!

Shipped a ton of @opencrust updates today (v0.1.6) 🦀 - Startup banner with Ferris ASCII art and live config summary (don't laugh 😅) - Runtime LLM provider switching from the webchat UI - no restart needed - Self-update system (opencrust update) with SHA-256 verification and rollback - opencrust restart command - Feature-gated WASM plugins - keeping default binary light - Smarter process detection - stop/restart now finds processes by port, not just PID file 6 releases in one session. Rust + AI assistants = productivity cheat code. signing off for now
