Review: I attended Regents Opera's @regentsopera first performance of Götterdämmerung, and it often seemed that the orchestra was much larger than 22 players! Maestro @BenWoodward1102 understands the finite elements and complications upon the players within his arrangement.

A solid end to @RegentsOpera’s Ring Cycle. Outstanding performances by Simon Wilding/Hagen, Catherine Woodward/Brunnhilde & Ingeborg Novrup Børch as First Norn & Fricka. Brilliantly staged & smart observations around the relationship of Hagen with Alberich and Brünnhilde.

Drowned in sound… @RegentsOpera stick the landing with a monumental ‘Götterdämmerung’. A triumphant Ring Cycle: visceral, witty, gut-wrenching and heroically ambitious. Fantastic week.

Superb climax to my birthday as the real epic is just beginning: a thrilling ‘Rheingold’ @RegentsOpera. Set up nicely for the next 13 hours or so… 😉
