The influencers feel snubbed, arguing that they were neither involved in the project nor given the opportunity to contribute, despite being the ones who consistently promote Ekiti state and its culture. Mosun Omo Ekiti, a prominent creator, expressed her disappointment, saying, “ Ekiti influencers keep promoting this state, showing up every day, pushing the culture-and yet you still don't value them. Instead, you brought in outsiders to come and speak on a place they barely understand." ZirMichael Ekitiboy also expressed frustration, questioning the government's decision to look outside the state for influencers when there are talented individuals within Ekiti who pay taxes and are eager to promote their home state. He believes the government should do better in recognizing and utilizing local talent. The influencers believe the government's decision shows a lack of appreciation for their efforts and argue that they are the ones who truly understand and can represent Ekiti state. They demand that the government starts valuing and involving local talent in promoting the state's culture and initiatives.
