There’s little quality left on my TL feed. It’s now mostly a variety of random content from US culture wars and global pop culture - driven by Grok, AI slop, and bots.
There’s very little visibility for verified news coverage, thoughtful conversations, activism communities, international solidarity, or unexpected learning moments.
And it’s not because people are not posting these. Elon Dusk has just ruined this app so much so that one has to search for specific accounts to find quality content. And, after a while, it’s so tiring to keep doing this that you let it go and just keep scrolling through the void, feeding on whatever slop the TL serves.

Did you pay any attention to what happened to Afghanistan?
1. How many years did the U.S. Military spend there? 20 years.
2. Who took over after the U.S. Military withdrew? The Taliban.
3. Is the Taliban implementing an even stricter form of Sharia Law today than they did the last time around? Yes.
4. What was the peak U.S. Military strength in Afghanistan? 100,000 troops (2011).
5. Does the U.S. Military have a history, or any desire to deploy anywhere near to those number of troops in Nigeria (a nation several times bigger than Afghanistan) or anywhere in Africa? Hell, no.
Trust me, you have only two options;
a. Continue to fantasize.
b. Think like a free man, with agency - find a way to organize and fight for your collective future.

For emphasis- the police has no business arresting critics of politicians and the wealthy. The police have no business safeguarding anyone’s “reputation.” It is an abuse of police powers to use them to settle private scores.
But Nigerians don’t know what due process looks like anymore between the powerful and the everyday citizen which is why some find Obi suing Deji to be strange.
If Deji had been picked up by the police because Obi made a complaint, many would have said “Well deserved.” But that is the wrong process.

This logic is flawed. If Peter Obi uses due process as a private citizen, I assume he will likely follow due process as a public official.
Your logic is better applied to politicians who use the police or thugs to silence their critics - as we have seen many do in APC and PDP.
