@DistantCoder This used to not be common, but yes spec passes are tougher to come by. They are sold at the door in limited quantities. Even if you can’t get in, I’d stop by and hang out in the open parts of the venue if it’s local to you. You can always learn more there!

SO I've never been to a Pokémon regional. There is one happening here in Toronto this weekend but it says spectator passes are sold out. Does this typically happen? And do they typically sell passes at the door? I'd love to go but didn't expect spectator passes to be limited :/

So excited to announce I will be starting the Her Turn TCG program! Her Turn will provide free coaching, mentorship, and support for the next generation of female competitive Pokemon TCG players. My goal is to increase the presence of girls in Pokemon so that seeing multiple girls at top tables is the norm, and being a girl isn’t our defining trait as a competitive player. This starts at the younger divisions, by encouraging them to stay with the game and to grow their skills. Currently, I am looking for 4-6 girls to begin the program. Anyone is welcome to apply, but priority will be given to those in the junior and senior division. If you know anyone who would benefit from this, please share it with them! I really like Pluribus. It’s, among other things, a show that has that weird eerie loneliness that open-world computer games have. A show about perfect, perfect existential loneliness, and Gilligan’s v idiosyncratic rhythms work perfectly here to emphasise this element of it.
