China and Russia Have Done Well… At the United Nations Security Council, a session was held to deliberate on a draft resolution submitted by Bahrain, which called for authorization to use military force to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. However, China and Russia immediately exercised their veto power, effectively blocking the resolution. As it stands now, the United Nations has no mandate on this matter. No country can claim to use military force under UN authorization to reopen the Strait. Any nation willing to do so must confront Iran directly, rather than acting under the cover of a UN resolution—unlike what happened in Iraq in 2003. China and Russia, you have done well. We appreciate your stance alongside Iran. Well done.

Whichever way one chooses to assess the situation in Kano, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf deserves another term in office. He is a true man of the people, delivering on his mandate and remaining focused on the progress and development of our dear state.

KANO LIKE EDO 2.0 What happened in Edo State is brewing to happen in Kano State. In his first term, Oshimhole gave his all to ensure Obaseki's victory as the Governor of Edo State. During the campaigns, Oshio Baba passed many negative comments against the PDP and their candidate, Ize Iyamu. There was no name Oshio Baba did not call them. On the flip side of it, PDP and Ize Iyamu did not just keep quiet. They retaliated by pouring barrage of invectives on Oshimhole, Obaseki and APC. They disparaged APC and all their supporters. After Obaseki's victory, rifts ensued between him and his Godfather, Oshimhole. The rifts degenerated till it became irreconcilable. Obaseki eventually left APC, joined PDP and took over the structure of the party in Edo. Ize Iyamu, who held sway in the PDP, felt betrayed and jilted. He could not stay in the same party with his arch-rival (Obaseki). Moreover, queuing behind Obaseki who defeated him in the gubernatorial election. Ize Iyamu dumped PDP, aligned with Oshimhole and joined the APC. He became an instant follower of Oshimhole, pitching him against his former party (PDP). Wonders, they say, shall never end. Election came. Everything was in the reverse mode. All the disparaging words Oshimhole uttered against Ize Iyamu were fully swallowed like garri and owo soup. All the insults the PDP leaders hurled at Obaseki were shamelessly retracted. Trust their followers? Those ones quickly keyed into the game. They all instantly switched: they started singing praises of their erstwhile opponents and lambasting their former choice candidate. Na so we dey roll in politics o. 😄 Let us flip it and apply this to Kano politics. Governor Abba Yusuf has dumped the NNPP/Kwankwaso to join the APC of Ganduje and others. Gawuna is obviously on his way to ADC from APC. I could see Gawuna hobnobbing with other ADC leaders. He will soon officially defect to the ADC. He will queue behind his former enemies (Kwankwaso and others). Naija politicians, ehn...🙆 In 2027, if Gawuna is able to secure the ADC gubernatorial ticket, it will be a complete switch - another Edo politics is looming. Gawuna will be facing Governor Yusuf in the polls. Therefore, everything Baba Ganduje said against Abba Yusuf will be completely reversed. Also, every insult Kwankwaso uttered against Gawuna will be swallowed like fura da nono. Isn't this another Edo Wonder? Ganduje will be praising Governor Abba Yusuf, and Kwankwaso will be praising Gawuna. Funnily, followers and supporters on both sides will totally flip. Issshhhh 🙄 Look, politics na b'astard. David Mark, Dino, Dalung and others will deliver the North-Central for ADC. 4- Peter Obi will deliver the Southeast for ADC. 5- Rotimi Amaechi and his team will deliver the South-South for ADC. 6- Rauf Aregbesola and his team will deliver the Southwest for ADC. No governor can deliver his state, let alone his zone, for Bola Tinubu and the APC in 2027. Atiku is coming!

Yesterday, Monday 30th March, I returned to the North's Commercial nerve centre, Kano, on the invitation of my dear elder brother, Senator, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso @KwankwasoRM, whose decision to join our party marks yet another significant step in the collective effort to rescue and rebuild our democracy and dear nation, Nigeria. As I have consistently maintained, this is the time for all opposition forces and well-meaning Nigerians to set aside their differences and work together in unity of purpose. Nigeria is at a critical stage in its history, one that demands sacrifice, courage, and selflessness from all of us. The challenges we face, economic hardship, insecurity, unemployment, and declining public trust, require more than rhetoric. They require deliberate collaboration, disciplined leadership, and a shared commitment to national progress. We must move beyond the politics of division, ethnicity, religion, and region, and embrace the politics of competence, character, capacity, compassion, and commitment to a better Nigeria. The task before us is not about winning elections alone; it is about rebuilding institutions, restoring confidence in governance, and securing a better future for our children. I therefore call on all members of the opposition, and indeed every patriotic Nigerian, to see this moment as a defining one. A moment that calls for unity over division, service over self, and nation over personal interest. A new Nigeria is POssible, but it will require all of us, working together, making sacrifices, and staying committed to the vision of a just, equitable, and prosperous nation. -PO
