This is something really groundbreaking yet people misinterpret it or don't understand the full extent.
We accumulate wealth with the purpose of securing access to certain goods/services that we need, and we do so by doing the work that sustains our civilization in its current state, and that's why the work is necessary.
But if the work to sustain our civilization is taken care of and the the means required to advance humanity becomes more accessable, the things that we "acquire wealth" for become less of a concern.
Our output will shift to be directed at advancement rather than maintenance.
