I think jealousy plays a huge part here
I fully expected them to verbalize it to considering... well... how OBVIOUS it is 😭
but like, verbalizing that is basically them admitting Spamton one upped them by being the star first and that they're just trying to replicate what he had, or at the very least they're basically "second" to him because he did it first

but yeah, even if they're technically not, with how protective he is over Mike's identity he would flip tf out at whatever the Mike trio is doing 😭

@orgstarwalker YEAH this is so interesting....... I know the Sweepstakes are "not canon" but I think they are *at the very least* indicative of how Spamton would canonically feel? So Even if he hasn't canonically met them, he would still be pissed off about them impersonating Mike??

There's no way they don't recognize bse Spamton. They just feel so SEEN that the same guy that recognized bse spam and made him a star wants to collab with them.
it fits into their ongoing theme of "hating" spam but also ripping him off.
