The encrypted mempool problem is unsolved problem in both tradfi and crypto.  This is exactly the kind of credible neutrality where Ethereum can outshine traditional finance.  Ethereum, Aptos and others have encrypted mempools on their roadmaps, let's accelerate!

Mechanism designers, please rally What are some better oracle resolutions for Polymarket? - delayed resolution: market stops, wait til SEC filings / gov docs to determine the Strategy sale - dispute committee: auctions with oracle solvers, resolve when reaching quorum threshold, with rewards & slashing - what else?

I'm far from the first to talk about using AI with Kleros. However, I might be one of the few who believe that pretty soon, 99.9% of cases will be handled automatically by AI agents, with humans staking $PNK simply being responsible for using the best tools available. Instead of chasing the absolute best AI model like hunting top ASICs in crypto mining, we'll quickly reach a point where most models are already accurate enough for Kleros. At that stage, the real game shifts to staking as much $PNK as possible to maximize your chances of being drawn as a juror and to handle a much higher volume of cases. Just like in Ethereum's Proof of Stake, where owning and staking ETH makes holders far more powerful than those who had raw hashrate in the old mining days. What will ultimately matter is the quantity of $PNK staked, it becomes the best profitability variable. It will be far more profitable to accumulate and stake $PNK than to invest heavily in resolution infrastructure, because AI will quickly reach extremely high efficiency, close to 99.99% success rate on cases, at a very low marginal cost. At the end of the day, the only thing that really matters is the quantity of $PNK you have staked. As Kleros gets adopted by institutions and real courts like the Mendoza Court, power and influence over legal systems adopting Kleros will increasingly be determined by the percentage of $PNK someone holds and stakes. "Whoever controls the court controls the state." Now guess what happens if the state can't control the court.

Thoughts on the @gnosispay hack: 1 - @gnosis_ team is honorable, they keep their word, users should not panic. However, after 5 years, so much in DeFi still relies on the integrity of the core team, which is unfortunate. 2 - Communication was excellent by crypto standards, but not great for a non-crypto audience. I followed updates on Twitter and Telegram, I understood what was likely happening behind the scenes. Non-crypto people will need emergency numbers to call, proactive email updates, website updates, etc. They would not know, for example, that their other accounts (non crypto) are not impacted, or understand the timing involved in white hat rescue. They would not know to follow @koeppelmann on Twitter for updates, etc. It more or less works now because Gnosis Pay has <1000 active users. Of course, these same "emergency" situations are ripe for exploitation by hackers! I can see future emails or calls from scammers urging people to send their money to a new address. So it's a delicate balance, and there should be safe channels for communication. 3 - There is no way DeFi stablecoin yield compensates users for this level of risk. Some (like me) do it to help move this space forward, but we should have no illusions any sane person will do this without legal guarantees and crypto-specific customer care infrastructure when issues arise. The current process in crypto is pray the core team will do the right thing... That's not going to scale to a wider audience. 4 - I love Gnosis Pay and will continue to use it, just waiting for word I can recharge my card. A huge thanks to everyone working like crazy behind the scenes. 🙏

@clesaege pointed out issues regarding admin keys 18 months ago. Should Polymarket ditch UMA?
Clément Lesaege@clesaege

@michael_lwy And you didn't even find the worse: Polymarket controls the address which has the ultimate power to resolve markets, so even if UMA goes against what the Polymarket wants, all it would achieve would be Polymarket force resolving and ditching UMA. It's a decentralization theater!

@epochzer0 @etheconomiczone It would be interesting to see how Gnosis Safe, for example, handles this from a UX perspective. It could also be valuable to explore how CowSwap will do it – perhaps they could present their approaches.

main benefits of @etheconomiczone for dapps, chains, protocols and users from the UX perspective of the user of the apps it's amazing because they only see one chain and they just have to interact the same as always and they have an instant result more concretely: - user call a contract on L1. It might be a proxy that routes to a rollup. they don't know and don't need to. - they get a return value in the same transaction. no waiting. - no bridge. no switch networks. no additional sign a transaction. - the crosschain routing, proof verification, and state updates are all invisible. the only thing that needs to exist first is a proxy for the L2 address they're interacting with. once someone creates it, it's permanent and anyone can use it.
