For whatever reason, we've only been able to get ADSL1 even in 2023, and under NBN we are only eligible for GEO Satellite service (High latency and used to have very low data caps). The joke is that half the street we live on has FTTN with potentially a FTTH upgrade in the works

Been living in Metro Adelaide, around 12KM to the centre of the CBD and as much as I've enjoyed living here, the worst part has always been the internet, which has either been dialup or unbelievable slow and essentially makes remote work impossible.

Life is unbelievably short, don't waste a second thought on what other people think of your ideas, dreams, or plans. It's better to live with a few bystanders misunderstanding you than a deathbed full of 'what ifs' and 'what could have been'.
