So Anthropic now claims there was no token-eating bug after all, it was all our fault for using Opus 4.6! Such dishonesty! I cancelled my Max account and, for the first time, turned negative toward an AI company. They claim to have the highest ethics & we need to trust them!? 👎

Anthropic has never published how many tokens each plan gets You can see what percentage of your limit you've used, but you can't see what the limit actually is. And you have no way to verify that what you're getting today is the same as last month When Codex users started hitting rate limits faster than expected, OpenAI reset everyone's limits while they investigated. They said they didn't fully understand why and chose the cautious path Anthropic's response was to tell paying users to downgrade - Switch from Opus to Sonnet - Turn off extended thinking - Cap your context at 200k instead of the 1M they advertise - Start new sessions instead of resuming old ones In short, 'this is a skill issue' Every one of those is a feature people are paying to access Paying users should not have to reverse-engineer what their plan buys If Anthropic wants to rebuild trust, the fix is straightforward - Publish actual token budgets per tier, the same way they already do for the API - Show what each message costs against the budget - Let people verify for themselves whether the deal changed They already do this on the API side. The choice not to do it for subscriptions tells you everything

@FM1_3316 I’m a Max fan but no driver is bigger than the sport it’s participating in, I would love to see him go and win another 4 titles and dominate but we have literally no influence on anything as fans, we take what we get and we try to enjoy the sport.

Is it a hot take to say I’m actually okay with Max leaving the sport before 2028? If anything I’m actually looking forward to the time he races in GT3 and prototypes, especially when he decides to attempt Le Mans This is my opinion ofc but I’d love to hear y’all’s thoughts

@HaruMarchen @verstappenews It’s been affecting max since the end of 23 but he was able to drive around it, the team needs a new Technical Director but it’s too late for to do anything for the next 6-12 months.
