Build-up issues that Rosenior highlighted yesterday were quite clear in the first half. Enzo especially was frustrated with Sanchez and Fofana at times not giving him the ball when he created time and space for himself to receive and progress the ball with either a bounce pass or one around the corner, like even Rosenior would want. This happened multiple times and is something clearly too early for the team, as they need training to be able to recognize this. Like Rosenior said, "They need to understand certain triggers." I think that might be related to the pivots dropping and the timing of the passes to them. Lots of the time in the 1st half, the timing and weight of the passes in the build up was just off, will explain in another tweet

This entire situation looks awful on Berrada and Wilcox. Amorim shouldn't have been hired in the first place because no elite team plays with a back 3 & there was no evidence of him playing a 4. Yet they ask him to play that way & sign for it? Tactical nous seems non-existent.

@EBL2017 At times I wonder why most of you analysts are always analyzing games but u make such comments. No elite team play back 3. Most top sides line up in a back 3 ( Napoli , inter n co ) and they are Coàçh by elite coaches. Even most top sides who dnt line up in back 3 positionally
