🚨JESS PHILLIPS - NAMED AND SHAMED - INSIDE RAPE GANG INQUIRY REPORT The inquiry makes clear: Jess Phillips maintained a PUBLIC SILENCE on the ethnic and religious patterns of the gangs while girls in her constituency suffered. "Evidence shows Labour politicians prioritised avoiding ‘far-right empowerment’ narratives and ensuring so-called “community relations” over protecting victims." 'Jess Phillips, appointed Safeguarding Minister, had much to do with his show of contempt by the Labour Party. Survivors resigned from her victim panel in disgust, condemning the process as a sham. Phillips apologised for delays, but retained the full backing of Sir Keir Starmer. Under her watch, ethnicity recording remains patchy and the anti-white aspect of these horrendous crimes continues to be downplayed'

This morning, I appeared on Good Morning Britain in a live interview about the grooming gangs. Before I went on air, I was told not to mention the race of the perpetrators. I, of course, didn’t listen. I have now received an apology from the editor. My interview is below: 👇🏻

@soullova1 @Steven_Swinford Because welfare spending is out of control. There’s a whole generation of young ones who are on benefits for things like “mild anxiety”. Not working is not good for them. If they work it reduces the welfare bill and increases tax receipts. Double win.

There are some brutal briefings about Keir Starmer in the wake of John Healey’s resignation today This one - from a Treasury official - stands out in our splash “As always with the prime minister, he is unable to make sound political and timely decisions “Funding the defence investment plan requires cuts to elements of government spending vital to growth - a key issue obviously this country needs to work on “This was flagged to No 10 in May and as usual he is a rabbit in the headlights and does not make a decision “Prioritise growth funding or defence spending - take a decision” thetimes.com/article/ed817b…

"An enquiry was held into the start of this race and the participation of WRIST ART (IRE), drawn 9, ridden by Christian Howarth. The rider and the Starter were interviewed and shown recordings of the start. Having heard their evidence and reviewed the start the Stewards deemed WRIST ART (IRE) to be a runner, in that as the start was effected the gelding became unruly and reared, unseating the rider before taking no part."
Adam Pukka Gennard@AdPukkaGennard

So the @BHAHorseracing deem the derby fave a non runner even though he finished 10th. Yet Wrist Art at Yarmouth, rears before the stalls open and unfortunately gets stuck (hoping the horse is ok) and yet is deemed a runner? Where is the consistency? the hypocrisy is outstanding

@chrisgambler247 @geoffbanksbet At Doncaster a few years ago, they insisted they decanted my bottle of wine into something akin to a sample bottle then realised it wouldn’t fit easily into the plastic bag with ice.

And if you do prefer a civilised bottle of champagne at Epsom? It costs £132 (£31 at Sainsbury's) And it is delivered in a bag. With some plastic beakers. So they don't have to wash a glass. Or because someone is concerned glass ware might be used on someone. They haven't worked out, however, that the bottle itself is effectively a better weapon for hooligans So it's all poorly thought through Honestly? This is exactly the kind of shoddy management and cynical overpricing that sends people to the football. Or the rugby instead. After all, it's cheaper It isn't the racing. It is the racetracks. You're putting people off in droves. Get a grip of yourselves

John Kear had one of the most fascinating coaching careers imaginable. True, he never got to coach one of the regular grand final winners, but he ticked every other box. He told me his coaching essentially began in 1986 when injury ruled him out of Cas’s cup win, but Mal Reilly>

Four years. We planted flowers around 'Our Family Tree' in our garden for Graeme. As Graeme neared end of life early May, Blossoms were in full bloom. By late May, when Graeme passed, the petals had fallen. Our blossom tree stands as a tribute to his time on earth and family love
