I wrote the following thread on Thursday last week but only sharing now. I’ve used Twitter like a diary of my betting journey the last few years. This is the final chapter of my story.

As always, in keeping with his own birthday traditions, sparklers were lit and swirled, Happy Birthday sung and candles blew out, and steak pie devoured.

Three and half years since Graeme left this Earth. It feels like forever and also like only yesterday at the same time.
This month brought another significant milestone, Graeme's 4th heavenly birthday.

Today may be an anniversary, but Graeme, you know you never leave our thoughts. For me, today is about remembering and re-telling happy family memories we shared and celebrating the life of an exceptional man who I was privileged to call husband and dad to our 3 precious children

After school last week, we planted flowers around 'Our Family Tree' in our garden. As Graeme neared the end of life early May-22, Cherry Blossom trees were in full bloom.

3 years that have felt like an eternity.
I know how much Graeme enjoyed Twitter, especially the Racing community. What better way to celebrate Graeme's life than a reposting of something he wrote himself back in Jan-22. A re-telling of a Cheltenham betting tale with his Granda.

Wednesday 18th March, 1998. I'm 16 years old and in my 4th year at high school. My favourite bets at the time were Placepots at big meetings as with the large fields, it was not unusual for the dividend to pay 4 figures, so doing a perm for 10p or 20p, you still got a nice return

@theformanalyst Was thinking of GD in our 3rd year Accountancy class the other day. He would fire out different check out finishes at Darts within a nanosecond. Even the teacher would get involved and double check with his calculator 😆. Still blows my mind.

Yesterday marked 2.5 years since Graeme's passing. It feels like forever and only a moment ago.

@jamesaknight Thank you. The children continue to do very well at everything they set their minds to. As well as keeping me on my toes, they keep me going. It's difficult to believe we've been on this earth without Graeme for so long now. I used to miss him when he only went out for the day!♡
