I have lived in the UK long enough to notice one thing that breaks my heart about Nigeria.
In Britain, an 80 year old woman knows exactly what her pension will be next month.
She plans her shopping around it. Books her holidays around it. Lives her dignity around it.
In Nigeria, an 80 year old man who served this country for 35 years is begging his children for feeding money.
And we call Britain a cold, individualistic society.
At least their old people are not dying of hunger in their children's parlours, too proud to ask for water.
We pride ourselves as "family-oriented" culture. But we have normalised leaving our elderly to rot while the government that took their best years lives in Abuja eating their future.
A society that cannot protect its old people has no business calling itself civilised.

It's easier to become a millionaire in the US than almost any other country.
But the average Nigerian in the US in NOT a millionaire. They earn abt $40k . So roughly N5m monthly same as a GM in Zenith bank .

@Accoid @ShimmerLeRaina It’s possible she has an EB 1. She meets most of the requirements for an EB1. I have seen people with far less of her achievements qualify for and obtain an EB 1 directly without going through the O1 route.

I have seen some proper 3-bedroom places listed online for prices that would barely get you a tiny room in some parts of London.

I keep hearing people say rent is still cheap up North in the UK. Like some people are paying £500-£600 for decent 3-bedroom flats while London is out here charging premium tears for tiny spaces. How true is it abeg? Which areas are actually affordable? Asking for a friend 🙊

Things like this really confuse me tbh, makes me honestly scared and i’m not even trying to be mischievous. This pastor heads NSPPD and a whole lot of people have gotten healed (i believe that the healings are real btw) just by being a part of it but this is the same man laying his hands directly on Alex and he still passed on. I think about this thing and it shakes my faith a lot tbh. I have so many questions because it’s genuinely confusing.

@TDeisine This sounds beautiful but it is not a very good move for the kids. It looks more to me like selfishness from the parents end without considering the faith foundation of the kids. The kids will eventually have unstable belief systems. Parents shouldn't be selfish.

I don’t attend same church with my husband, it was agreed before marriage.
I am catholic and he is Pentecostal, I remember telling him that I have no intention of leaving my church for his if we eventually get married.
He said he don’t care, after all, what’s the big deal? My kids dedication was done in his church because I was too lazy to pursue the process. We always do crossover night in my church and we attend our various churches on sundays when I am not too lazy to attend church.
