the way to stop it is either to pour water on the VERY TOP of the lava source or slowly climb from below by pouring from at least 1 tile higher. if lava pours from above and you try water on the same level, it WILL engulf the rocks you created and spread further!!

my ultimate Pokopia tip is, play with a kid who doesn't let you touch it most of the time. You'll forget about minmaxing and perfecting the village and just vibe. Kid just arranged all her furniture in random places outside, sure girl, this wardrobe fits perfectly under that tree
