I remember creating this account for my art project City of Girls in January 2022 To sit here almost three years later with a following of 3000+ people, a parent with two now middle grade children nevertheless, a solo artist, is truly humbling and a little bit surprising, not gonna lie I caught the end tail of the bull market coming in, and as I was gearing up to release my work the war in Ukraine started and the bear market hit, and I decided to pause and regroup. It was the best decision I ever could have done. I started curating small art drops on Foundation, writing my own metadata with custom bios for every character written by Ouvra, then getting a tip from my dad who was exploring Spaces, tumbling in hearing Vibhu talk about his DRiP platform, and so, curious about what the fuss was about, I reached out after summer 2023 in the search of a cheaper way for me to share my art with my collectors. At the time I thought of it as a temporary treat, or periodical... I mean I didn't know I'd fall in love with the place and keep doing drops every week... but hey... These careful steps forward was all I needed And with a following of 190 K+ on DRiP I have to say my dream to get more people to learn about C.o.G came true And a new bull cycle is upon us I will always lead City of Girls in a manageable way for this simple human that I am Art will always be center, because that's what I know best, and I use my whimsical surreal style and sharpen it into a blade to better penetrate the noise. Using what I thought was a weakness, turning it into my number one asset, if you will. The funny thing is that this project also helped me restart my artist career after those years of hardships facing this artist mother with two kids within two years, and throw in the pandemic mid everything you know? I really came to X and explored NFT's out of desperation. I could only enter this world through the help of my friend Justin Maller, who organized a group artshow with Niftygateway that sold out and gave me the start capital to start minting myself. I've never invested a dime myself, because there were no dimes in my pockets. It's as easy and hard as that. I am self made. I am now sitting here sipping my coffee feeling a little proud No matter what happens from here, it is quite clear that I made it, in one way or the other, already. I crawled out of the most difficult time of my life and managed to create something for myself to lean on, as my children are growing. Thank you for reading. @vibhu Label AI art and maybe make space for info on medium/software - like they do everywhere else you sell/buy art,,,, so the consumer knows how to value it. Process is important when it comes to creativity. 😊
