Outfield Prep-Steps These can be game changers when it comes to tracking down fly balls, especially balls hit in the gap. Here’s an OF utilizing a “hop” as his prep-step. I like the hop for our guys because they get headed in the right direction quicker with no false steps.

Been trying out a new pre-pitch routine with our OUTFIELDERS. Working on utilizing a hop as a potential prep step.

OUTFIELD DRILL Here’s a drill our outfielders really enjoy. It’s a fun challenge for the guys. It requires them to communicate, track fly balls, and COMPETE! Groups of 3. Start by feeding one ball per guy. If they succeed, ADD another ball. Continue this until a ball drops. Last team standing WINS!
