the onle thing I could think of is that mods would be potentially overwhelmed with work

tbh i wish artfight was a summer long event (june/july/august) so ppl could reasonably participate while balancing regular life and also without hurting themselves or burning out

i was also kind of peeved at the idea of not thanking someone for free art but then i heard from an artist who received so many attacks during artfight that if she spent one minute writing a thank you comment to each of them, it would take her until august to get thru them all
