It shouldn’t be divisice & needn’t be if vested oil interests & the media didn’t work so hard at making it so. This programme is designed to polarise & it causes harm in doing so.

COP30 has set the stage. A thread 🧵 — From forests to finance, oceans to AI, more than 30 themes will shape the global climate conversation this November in Belém, Brazil. The newly announced Thematic Days will run from 10 to 21 November, connecting climate negotiations with action on the ground. The agenda is built around six pillars: 1. Energy , Industry & Transport 2. Forests, Oceans & Biodiversity 3. Agriculture & Food Systems; 4. Cities, Infrastructure & Water; 5. Human and Social Development; and 6. Cross-cutting issues “Each day is intended to connect negotiations with real-world impact,” said COP30 President-Designate Ambassador André Corrêa do Lago.
