The only thing the Kwara State Governor tried to do in his time in office, was to try and make Bukola Saraki look bad. He totally neglected the yearnings and cries of the good people of Kwara State. While he and his caucus enjoyed protection, Innocent Kwarans were been slaughtered by terrorists and bandits. May the likes of Governor Abdulrasak and APC never happen to Kwara again!

The Dangote Refinery has reversed its earlier adjustment of a N75 increase in the ex-depot price of petrol, deciding to maintain the price at N1,275 per liter instead of N1,350. The reversal effectively nullifies the previous adjustment, reinstating the former pricing structure at the loading gantry, and alleviating immediate concerns among downstream marketers. Industry operators report that this action has helped soothe worries across the market, where traders had already started repositioning in anticipation of a higher pricing cycle.

With Kwara State’s multidimensional poverty rate estimated at 48.3% according to the 2022 Nigeria Multidimensional Poverty Index (NMPI), the government should be embarking on projects that create jobs, provide an enabling environment for investors and industries, and invest heavily in agriculture. Instead, we are spending almost all the state’s resources building offices around the Government House roads. The saddest part is that the majority of these construction projects are not handled by reliable contractors from Kwara State.
