I am writing to formally report a serious issue regarding the sale of counterfeit, unlicensed Pokémon trading cards in Turkey.
It has come to my attention that D&R stores, a well-known retail chain in the country, are actively selling Pokémon cards that lack the official tax banderol and are not officially licensed products.
These counterfeit cards are widely available in D&R branches owned by Turkuvaz Media Group, misleading consumers and potentially harming the integrity of the Pokémon brand. Given the high demand for Pokémon cards in Turkey, this situation enables large-scale fraud and negatively impacts both legitimate distributors and customers who expect authentic products.
Attached, you will find images shared by individuals who have purchased these counterfeit products.
I urge Nintendo to take immediate action against this unauthorized distribution, conduct necessary investigations, and implement appropriate legal measures to prevent further sales of counterfeit Pokémon cards in Turkey. Addressing this issue is crucial to protecting the brand’s reputation and ensuring consumer trust.
