Mahmut Tanal, 26 Ekim günü Karadağ'ın başkenti Podgorica'da bıçaklı saldırının ardından yaşanan olaylara ilişkin konuştu: Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Dışişleri Bakanlığı Karadağ hükümetine resmi nota vermelidir “Karadağ hükümeti ırk temelli şiddeti önlemekle yükümlüdür ama görevini yerine getirmemiştir. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin diplomatik temsilcileri de kendi vatandaşına sahip çıkma görevini yerine getirmemiştir. Bu bir ihmaldir ve bu bir utançtır. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Dışişleri Bakanlığı Karadağ hükümetine resmi nota vermelidir. Büyükelçi hakkında idari soruşturma açılmalıdır. Karadağ’daki Türk vatandaşları için acil kriz masası kurulmalıdır”

Karadağ’da yaşananlar, basit bir kavga değil, açık bir ırkçı saldırı ve insanlık suçudur! 26 Ekim gecesi, “Türk vatandaşı bıçakladı” yalanıyla başlayan provokasyon, bir gecede linçe dönüştü. Sokaklarda “Türk’ü öldür” sloganları atıldı, işyerleri yakıldı, çocuklar okula gidemedi, kadınlar evlerinden çıkamadı. Görüntüler ortaya çıktı: —Bıçaklayan Türk değilmiş. Ama nefret ateşi çoktan yakılmıştı. Karadağ hükümeti, yargı süreci başlamadan Türk vatandaşlarına vize kararı açıklayarak önyargıyı resmileştirdi. Sırp Çetnik grupları beyzbol sopalarıyla sokaklarda nöbet tutarken, Türklerin dükkanları taşlandı, evleri tehdit edildi. Konsolosluk telefonları günlerce açılmadı. Vatandaşlar kendi güvenliklerini sağlamak için WhatsApp destek hatları kurdu. Devletin sesi duyulmadı, büyükelçilik suskun kaldı. Ama halk, birbirine omuz verdi. 2 Kasım gecesi, bir Türk kızı evinde ev sahibi tarafından kilitlenip darp edildi. Olay yerine giden vatandaşlarımız onu kurtardı, hastaneye ulaştırdı, karakola teslim etti. Orada devlet değil, dayanışma vardı. Bu tablo, bir ülkenin yabancı topraklarda vatandaşına sahip çıkmadığı bir utanç tablosudur. Viyana Sözleşmesi’ne, Anayasa’nın 62. maddesine ve insanlık onuruna aykırıdır. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti, Karadağ’daki vatandaşlarının can güvenliğini sağlamak, bu ırkçı saldırılara karşı diplomatik nota vermek ve sessiz kalan elçiliğin hesabını sormak zorundadır. Çünkü bu mesele bir kavga değil, bir ulusun onuru, bir devletin sorumluluğu ve insanlığın sınavıdır.
