So we are just going to forget, that billions (about 11 billion) of public money was spent on a private jet, for a provincial government… when people die in the same province due to a lack of medical care (thousands of babies die in the province every year due to a lack of oxygen and incubators), this money could have bought thousands of incubators. Similarly, 10 million children are out of school in Punjab, the 11 billion rupees and money spent on fuel and maintenance of the said jet could have put thousands of them back in school.

The Punjab Government has decided to move the courts under the Defamation Law 2024 against every individual and platform involved. Disinformation will no longer go unanswered. Those who think they can malign institutions and mislead the public without consequence should prepare to face the law. Punjab Government will be seek recourse to the maximum penalty under the law to ensure a clear and unequivocal message, fake news is not journalism. It is defamation.
