@8964ts @stoa1984 This specific island does, but if China takes this they still have to cross a 130 kilometer strait to land on mainland Taiwan, which brings us back to my original point.

@stoa1984 That is a PR show only. They won't fight anyway. Over 70% water supply to Kinmen comes directly from the mainland. How can they fight?

@ItsTheEnforcer @cartierfamilyZ That's Trump's highly biased interpretation. There is no evidence Xi would have said something like that. And the so called "declining nation" never appears in their official narrative, despite that quite a lot of individuals said that on social media.

@glennbeck Trump is the best US president for China. I guess he gets over 95% approval rate in China and everybody over there wants him to stay in power.

I don't feel good about President Trump going to China tomorrow. I pray everything goes well, but I wish I trusted the Secret Service. Who has more to lose in the world right now than China? Trump has systematically blocked China everywhere. And Xi would sacrifice anything to win, even his own citizens. I trust the President. But right now, I’m worried for him.

@OmerKanat1 No, Trump won't use them, simply because they are completely useless and carry no weight in real world bargaining, especially when Trump was begging for this visit.

Trump must put detained Uyghur intellectuals on the agenda for his upcoming meeting with Xi. Across the Uyghur diaspora in the United States, families are living with the same cruel separation: their relatives, including many of the most respected Uyghur intellectuals of their generation, are imprisoned by the Chinese government. If Trump sits across from Xi and fails to raise the cases of Uyghur Americans and their families, Beijing will read that omission not as pragmatism, but as weakness. @cungcung785 @OoKauai @CarlZha LOL that clearly explains why it is fundamentally accurate that Stalin sentenced the death of Soviet Union and the Communist Party of Soviet Union very early. He and all his successors worked together with the same ideology and policy to bury the red empire.

True. It was him to demand Mongolia independence as the price for him to tear up the non-aggression pact between Soviet and Japan and launch war against Japan to end the war quickly. As I said, he was a real cunning MF. But one can't just blame Stalin for being one. Because it was Chiang Kai-shek who allowed it to happen. Stalin was only sellin'. As for Korean War, one gotta admit that Stalin was one if not the biggest winner as he can prevent US to occupy the entire Korean peninsula without having to go to war himself. China going to war against US is the price Mao had to pay to get full sovereignty of Northeast China (entire railroad and Port Arthur), plus loan for industrial and technological support. If you ask me, both Mao and Stalin got the deal they wanted.

Stalin signed the Sino-Soviet Treaty of Friendship, Alliance, and Mutual Assistance in 1950 which stipulated that Port Arthur would be returned to China no later than 1952. Outbreak of Korean war delayed the handover to 1955. Krushchev tried to propose joint Sino-Soviet naval base and fleet base in Port Arthur. Mao said no. That was 1 of the trigger of Sino-Soviet split. Don't expect Russian nationalists to know their history.
Russians With Attitude@RWApodcast

And then Khrushchev gave Port Arthur to the Chinese for literally no reason. That man was such a catastrophe. Even Molotov was furious with him for doing that. And of course the Chinese became hostile a few years later

@OoKauai @cungcung785 @CarlZha Not at all. Mongolia independence engineered by Stalin still stings deeply in the mind of those Chinese leaders, besides Stalin's refusal to send Soviet airforce into North Korea territory to cover Chinese ground force while Stalin demands payment for China's weapon procurement.

@OoKauai @cungcung785 @CarlZha Actually when Soviet invaded Finland, Stalin and his party instantly disqualified themselves as the leader of world communists, and implicitly sentenced the Soviet to a political and geostrategic death. The Soviet China split originated from Stalin.

@cungcung785 @CarlZha Stalin respected china and Mao in a way every soviet leader after failed to do. If Soviets had taken China more seriously as an equal partner, and not tried to appease the americans they would still be around today.

@mranti In regards to correctness of inference outputs for professional works, z.ai is the best, deepseek takes the 2nd place. However both are weaker than Super Grok at interpreting documents written in English language. All the other LLMs are sort of rubbish.

Madness! 😠 RBA Governor Michelle Bullock ADMITS the oil shock has worsened inflation, ...her rate rise won't make a difference, ...but they raised rates to constrain demand for when the oil shock "eases". WTF! The RBA is holding Aussies hostage to Trump reopening the Strait?

🚨 HOLY CRAP! Sec. Scott Bessent just CALLED OUT China ahead of his trip with President Trump to the country, saying they should "STEP UP" and get Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz, and STOP funding the state sponsor of terror "China ALWAYS seeks an advantage. They seek an advantage in everything. They seek an advantage in the seating chart!" "China, let's see them step up with some diplomacy and get the Iranians to open the Strait!" "All I'll say is Iran is the largest state sponsor of terrorism and China has been buying 90% of their energy." "So they are FUNDING the largest state sponsor of terrorism, but more importantly, the threat of attacks from Iran has closed the Strait." "We are reopening it, so I would urge the Chinese to join us in supporting this international operation!"

Absolute bombshell. Former Israeli PM Naftali Bennett claims America will be nuked if Washington stops backing the Zionist regime. He calls Israel an American aircraft carrier, proving they are an imperial military base. The US is held hostage by these psychotic threats.

Bombshell: Leaked audio recordings prove Argentina's libertarian President Javier Milei is conspiring with the drug lord Juan Orlando Hernández -- the drug-trafficking former dictator of Honduras, whom Trump freed from prison. In a recording between Milei and the drug lord, Hernández proposed creating a right-wing fake news operation, with the support of the US government, in order to spread propaganda online to "eliminate the left" in Latin America, targeting Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, and the left-wing opposition in Honduras. The self-declared "anarcho-capitalist" Milei offered to contribute $350,000 USD of Argentine government money to help fund this disinformation operation, while millions of Argentines are suffering in poverty, and they have to eat donkey meat, because they can't afford local beef.
