I endorse @spencerpratt because he was the only person to bring attention to when my elementary school was allowing homeless drug addicts to occupy an empty building just feet away from the children. I think what people need to understand about the homeless situation in LA is that it isn’t just people from the neighborhood down on their luck. Not at all. I grew up around those guys and know them well. I always had friends who had hard times living in cars and trailers and in my hippie phase rolled with a lot of homeless beach bum types. What LA deals with is random ass grown ass fuck ass narcissist dudes from the Midwest and all over the country who got ran out of their own local neighborhoods for being bad people and hurting others and they come to LA to fuck off and continue being assholes while posting LA sunsets on IG. They don’t care about LA and they don’t care about the community or the children because they have no stake in it. Nothing to lose. No family to check them or neighborhood to stay respectful for. LA is their backdrop while they fuck around. I have watched the homeless population change drastically from when I was a kid, then a night-bus-riding teenager, to now. These new guys and new drugs have no love, no community, no respect. They don’t give a fuck about anyone. I care about LA teens and LA youth and I care about the streets being loiter-able after school because that was me at some point and everyone deserves that experience. Community first. And a dude who stepped off a freight train yesterday so he could pretend he made it in LA today on his FB while leaving needles in kids parks is not our fucking community
