@beltwayboyz Why? The second you sign him to that deal you are pot committed to him long term when the last 2 years have been questionable as a stroud fan. He balls out next year you’re going to pay him roughly what you’re proposing paying him now. It just makes no business sense.

@beltwayboyz That tua contract was objectively bad the day it was signed. I’m firmly in the camp that a deal is not even discussed this offseason. CJ’s camp view him as a 55+ mil guy, no chance Houston is touching him at that number right now. A motivated Stroud isn’t the worst thing.

People bring up Tua or Kyler, as a cautionary tale for paying CJ Stroud to fast. 1. Those organizations are both terrible 2. What exactly should those teams have done differently?

@DmitriyAll @BeanerOfSnow Maaaayybeeee. I promise you given the current market retailers aren’t splitting hairs over stuff like that. They just need the traffic. As crazy as it is people are still spending more eating out than conventional grocery. They just want traffic right now.

@p4ynz @BeanerOfSnow The purchasing ability does matter. Generally poor customers with low purchasing ability may not be that attractive to invite vis loss leaders. To some extent. Maybe.

@DmitriyAll @BeanerOfSnow Yeah I work in the industry, design promotions, etc. this guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. A loss leader still serves its purpose with or without snap. The point is to get them into the building, their method of payment is largely irrelevant.

@BeanerOfSnow Nevertheless, that's a decent thing to do. I SNAP exists, families should be able to buy hot rotisserie chicken with it. Even if it ends up costing $12.99 rather then $4.99 for everyone.

@NickElenis The rams ran multiple tight ends more than any team in the league by a wide margin last year, it was still less than half their offensive snaps. I’m sorry, taking Parker Washington off the field in favor of “Nate Boerkircher” seems like a bad idea but maybe that’s just me.

@p4ynz The intention is to have 2-3 TEs that you can line up that won’t be a liability. Koziol is the outlier pick because he can’t block. I can see them using him as a jumbo WR especially in the redzone, and 13.

@NickElenis How are the jags going to use him? They taking targets away from strange in favor of him? I think not, they intend to line him up in 12 and run the ball with him as a blocker. The fact they took Koziol afterwards who is knows as a receiver should tell you exactly how they feel.

@p4ynz Watch him play. Yes, he’s an excellent blocker for a TE with his receiving ability. That’s why he got pushed up so high. His low production and usage is the reason he was under public radar as opposed to 12 months of scouting.

@NickElenis The entire 1st half of his draft profile is about him as a blocker. Believe what you want man.

@NickElenis At the end of the day you had needs all over your roster and you decided to use one of the few premium assets you did have on a blocking tight end that will be lucky to see half the offensive snaps. It just strikes me as bad process, I could be wrong.

@p4ynz I’m not saying it does. That’s to be determined. The point is if they passed on him he would’ve been gone at 81. That’s bad practice.

@NickElenis Him being TE2 doesn’t automatically make him worth the 56th pick, that’s my point.

@p4ynz Jon Ledyard reported multiple teams had him as TE2 and Lance Zierlien was told before the draft he’d be the 3rd TE off the board.

@NickElenis Who has confirmed that? Every nfl report I’ve seen was that the rest of the league was surprised with the majority of their picks.

@p4ynz Right, but it’s been confirmed the NFL consensus had him much higher. Wasn’t just one outlier team. The online consensus board missed immediately, it’s rare but it happens.

@NickElenis Just as an example Boerkircher was between 140-160 depending on the board you like, he went at 56. Regis was in a similar range, he went at 81.

@p4ynz He wasn’t going to go 100 spots later, he was TE2 or TE3 on a lot of teams boards. The consensus was proven wrong immediately.

@NickElenis Sure, but if a team takes a player a 100 spots before they were projected to go. More often than not they were misguided in doing that. Not always, but more often than not. You can look at the data for yourself if you don’t believe me.

@liamcoenszn @AbeBresn @clayharbs82 Jags do this once every 5ish years. Have one good year. Think they’re good enough, do nothing in the offseason to improve the team substantially. Back in the afc south basement again next year. Repeat.

@KirkLazarguy69 @NextNetworkJosh I’d argue hurling slurs from an anonymous account is much more chickenshit than calling someone out for being a dick. If you’re gonna be an ass at least have the stones to put your name on it.

@jackcitymafia @NotFrankA @esjesjesj My brother in Christ the us government collects over 5 trillion dollars a year in taxes. I’d argue there’s enough money there for healthcare if we prioritized Americans with our tax dollar as we should.

@patrickdaly @rushicrypto You’d be surprised. Me and my wife own a home and I played around with itemizing this year and it still wasn’t all that close. Standard deduction is over 30 grand. I didn’t pay THAT much in interest last year.

@patrickdaly @rushicrypto + the interest deduction only matters if you’re itemizing which 90% of tax payers don’t. Standard deduction is best option for the majority of tax payers.

@rushicrypto You can deduct interest on the mortgage, not payment. Conversely if you wanna pay that game, technically your security deposit should collect interest and that should be declared as income if in fact your landlord actually follows the law and gives it to you when you move.

@trouble_man90 Explanation seems to be that since they were already dominating, taking what little was left was fair game but in a competitive state its unfair to use that logic to "cheat" them of potential wins They're really framing it as "what's yours is mine but up for grabs is also mine"
