@DeputyGrocott I use Cherry pick. It’s an app that you choose your meal, how many it’s for and it adds all the ingredients to your basket in Asda Sainsbury’s Tesco etc wherever you choose. So many recipes. It’s brilliant.

Has anyone ever done one of those healthy meal plan thingys that come through the post? Any decent ones? Low calorie, high protein type affairs.

@ScottishSuffra1 Respect is a fundamental British value - learning about all of religions is also a part of the curriculum. As a PARENT you have the right to withdraw your child from RE. But I would want any child of mine to have a rounded world view. At no point have I taught anything extremist

My grandson came home yesterday and told his mum that they had a lesson on muslims, and their religion in school that day. Today, my family decided that as Christians, catholics, and with Jewish relatives as well as women's rights activists aplenty within our family, this was not appropriate, needed, or wanted. Monday, the head teacher will have a complaint she never imagined, she will never forget and will never wish repeated.

@DeputyGrocott Exactly what I thought when I received the email today. Thankfully the current students are all safe. I have a great one this term.

So sad to read today that the Norfolk, Essex, Suffolk teacher training SCITT programme may not be financially sustainable due to low recruitment of trainees. Just shows where education is at sadly. These courses should be oversubscribed 😔

A very unexpected day off today due to school closure. But my goodness did I need it. So much happening personally in my close family and such a long term. No tired like teacher tired.

Honestly @PieCorbett’s talk for writing, mixed with #colourfulsemantics is saving my class in terms of writing. You CANNOT write a sentence until you’ve heard it in your head. You need to compose it. We all do it, every day. Children need to be taught it. #oracymatters

1. Routine. 2. Knowing what day it is. 3. Knowing what I’m doing everyday. 4. My children being fed by someone else for one meal a day.

I have realised that now my children no longer need me that my summer holidays hold zero appeal for me. A couple of weeks to recharge then I have honestly had the loneliest most depressing summer ever. Next year I’m going to get a summer job.
