@richardajkeys Look at the squad we had under RDZ in the first season - FH has had no where near such quality.
When we lost Caceido and Macca and had injuries, RDZ didn’t achieve.
So it’s not totally wrong to say we may have improved under FH, like for like.

I think de Zerbi is a very lucky boy. I’m not sure what he’s done to land the Spurs job. Hurzeler has made Brighton better. He’s certainly not in the same class as Conte who, as we know, has already had the Spurs job & failed. So what qualifies him? 🤷♂️.

@ryanadsett VAR isn't the problem. It's the underskilled, poor stndard of referees. It's been the case for a while. VAR works in almost all other countries where the referees are much more competent.

Should have consistently been this for the last 40 years.
Emphasis on great attacking runs off last man, emphasis on defenders (as pairs) covering for one another and will create more positive runs.
Converse argument that teams may drop off but let's be honest, the defending at the half way line as an offensive tool is exploitable by counter attacking quickly, so once applied it should add, not take away from the game.
Playing on the shoulder as a skillset has been sorely missed.
