@AndyNaylorBHAFC Like Potter, he may have to re-set. Not sure if he’ll get another Prem job offfer though without the sort of experience Potter had at Brighton.
It was a weird move for him; was never going to work out.

@BrightonBubble Fuck off RDZ. You left our club, you weren’t sacked.

🚨🎙️ Roberto De Zerbi on Brighton:
“It is a special place for me. There are emotional memories. It was a magic place.
The players were like my children. Danny Welbeck, Pascal Gross, Jason Steele, Adam Webster, Joel Veltman and Lewis Dunk. A lot of great memories but I want to win.”

@BennettsField Problem is we don’t want Spurs above us do we so we don’t want him to do TOO well!
Agree though don’t want to see him get relegated with them but that was a huge risk he was ok to take on.
English

Very conflicted on Spurs now. Obviously think it would be hilarious if they go down but I love RDZ and would like to see him do well. 🤷♂️

@kyepalmer25 @Mark_CPFC We are all assuming that they take the freeze frame at the exact 100th of a second the that the pass leaves the team mate. Surely that can’t be relied on, so that’s why some tolerance is needed if nothing else.
I
At least in case 2 his feet were clearly offside
English

@Mark_CPFC Both correct decisions in the laws of the game. Do I agree with it, not particularly. Have we had goals disallowed because of similar? Yes. It evens it's self out over the season but they are both by the rules offside
English

@richardajkeys Look at the squad we had under RDZ in the first season - FH has had no where near such quality.
When we lost Caceido and Macca and had injuries, RDZ didn’t achieve.
So it’s not totally wrong to say we may have improved under FH, like for like.
English

@ryanadsett VAR isn't the problem. It's the underskilled, poor stndard of referees. It's been the case for a while. VAR works in almost all other countries where the referees are much more competent.
English

Clear and obvious is literally the whole problem with VAR and how it down spiralled
Henry Winter@henrywinter
@Bigalanh5 it's here to stay, people forget what it was like before. it's now a case of getting back to its original intent - clear and obvious
English

@prodnose If you have to use bloody lines because your eyes can’t see it, then there’s no advantage to the attacker and it’s onside. If you can’t see an issue within 30 seconds then it’s as per the referee’s decision. Stop complicating things FFS 🤦♂️

🚨 Roberto de Zerbi has always been a main candidate for Tottenham job in the summer, if Spurs stay in PL.
Top target as always reported since he left OM, with Pochettino another name on shortlist.
De Zerbi-Spurs, currently only a topic for June.

@FabrizioRomano De Zerbi is an interesting choice, plays attractive football but has never managed at a club with this much pressure. Pochettino going back would make more sense emotionally and practically. Either way Spurs need stability more than anything right now.

The Brighton fans that made the 575 mile, 11 hour round trip to Sunderland today. A phenomenal effort, and they got to see their team win! 👏

🚨 Brighton are very confident of beating Chelsea to the summer signing of Cologne's German winger Said El Mala.
He has impressed in his first season in the Bundesliga and is keen to continue his development at a team where regular first-team football will be offered.

@DerrenBrown Nice photo Darren (🤭). We were at the show last night; brilliant as ever.
Are you doing a London run?

Took my camera out after a long break. A gorgeous murmuration last night over Eastbourne pier. Here all week with Only Human and there are tickets left. Love from the seaside.

@JackRob62124535 @TheAdrianDurham The line needs to be somewhere but not there! Line can be much thicker to give more advantage to the attacker so offsides given are much more in the spirit of the rule. Someone’s face being offside doesn’t constitute an advantage when he scores with his feet! It’s horrendous!
English

@TheAdrianDurham Stop fucking whinging and just go along with it being accurate, it is what it is. A line has to be drawn somewhere and just trust the technology and stop whinging.
English

@ryanadsett He’s amazing, but why’s lacking is consistency and that’s what will make him a top player at the highest level.
English

@StanCollymore It changes nothing whether a player if offside or not. All it does is change where the line is drawn and therefore the point of contention. There will still be controversy.
I’d much rather there be acceptance of a margin of error and if within this it’s the on-field decision.
English

Should have consistently been this for the last 40 years.
Emphasis on great attacking runs off last man, emphasis on defenders (as pairs) covering for one another and will create more positive runs.
Converse argument that teams may drop off but let's be honest, the defending at the half way line as an offensive tool is exploitable by counter attacking quickly, so once applied it should add, not take away from the game.
Playing on the shoulder as a skillset has been sorely missed.

🚨 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: Arsene's Wenger new offside rule has been APPROVED and will be used in the Canadian Premier League! A player will ONLY be offside if he has FULLY passed the last defender, so it won't be decided based on a body part anymore. If succesful, the offside rule could change across the entire world from the 2027/28 season on.
English

@Dannyg198722 @RobinRaving @StanCollymore That’s fine; but at least you’d be really offside, no one would moan, and it’d mean we’d get less goals ruled out, we’d be able to celebrate again and feel the emotion…offside rule needs this!
English

@RobinRaving @StanCollymore You realise it doesn’t matter how thick or if their is daylight you still get 1mm offside. People are dumb
English

@SayersBHAFC Well not really, more just terrible defending but for once we got a gift and took it!
